Christmas in Emp - 2017
Dec. 17th, 2017 07:40 pmWhen the Casa de Lions wakes up on Christmas morning, they will find, arranged almost lovingly under the tree, eight walkie-talkies, as well as a larger box receiver that has been placed on a table in the living room.
Each walkie-talkie is personalized to its intended recipient: Black with hints of orange for Shiro, purple and blue with hints of red and orange for Keith, yellow with a hint of orange for Hunk, pink and blue for Allura, orange and blue for Coran, and grey and blue with a hint of orange for himself. At the end of the line, standing almost hopefully are two more: one in blue with some orange, and one in green with some orange, and an odd line of text around the bottom that is probably unintelligable to anyone not a Holt.
In front of the group is a paper, carefully written:
Merry Christmas, everyone!
I thought that if I'm spending most of my time working on communications, I should beef ours up as well. Everyone has a walkie now. They're encrypted so that no matter what, no one'll get in. They're locked down hard. On the back is a dial, with each name on it, so you can find that person's channel if you need them. There's also a receiver in the living room in case anyone needs to call here.
Also, I have about five spares (not including the ones I personalized), in case there are people who you think should have one, but I didn't include. Let me know, and I can twiddle the channels to include them. Any bugs, let me know.
